What's on

  • Storytime for under 5s, every Wednesday at 11:00am. No booking required.
  • Rhymetime, two sessions every Friday at 10:30am and 11:15am. No booking required.

  • Little Reads with Manchester Literature Festival
    Join Miriam once a month for a fun, interactive workshop using drama, dance, songs, play and craft to explore children’s picture books. The sessions are most suitable for children aged 2 to 6 but all the family is welcome. Don’t forget your favourite cuddly toy. No need to book, just turn up. 11am 2nd Thursday of the month.

We have a large selection of eBooks and eAudio available from Borrowbox.

Items which are not in stock at Stretford Library but are available from another Trafford library can be requested free of charge.

Stretford Library has the following items available for loan:

  • Non-fiction books ranging from popular interest topics to more academic subjects, in some cases up to AS and A level

  • Stories for all ages from the youngest up to 13+

Community meeting rooms

We have three community meeting rooms. These are free to hire for any non-profit making organisations/individuals.

  • Room 1 - accommodates up to 12 people
  • Room 2 - ideal for one to one sessions but will accommodate up to four people
  • Room 3 - accommodates up to six people

There is also a community kitchen available to anyone using these rooms. Call 0161 912 3189 to book a room, or for further information.
