The library is now open Monday to Friday, 9am-5pm and Saturday 10am-1pm. The library will be staffed from 2-5pm Monday, Thursday, Friday and 10am-1pm on Tuesday.

Woodsend Library has open+ technology installed to enable the opening hours of the library to be maintained with reduced staffing. If you require this type of access you can call in at any library, or ring our Contact Centre on 912 3189.

  • Floristry every other Monday 1.30-3.30pm
  • Beadwork Club every Tuesday 1.30-3.30pm  
  • Rhymetime sessions for 0 to 5 year olds on Tuesday mornings 11.15-11.45 am and Friday afternoons 2.15-2.45pm
  • A Readers' Group meets every 3rd Monday of the month 2-3.30pm. Please see our Readers' Groups  page for further details. 
  • Local History Group meets on the 1st Tuesday of each month 10am - 12noon
  • Baby weaning on the third Thursday of the month at 11am, phone 0161 746 3810 to book
  • Chinese painting - every Friday morning 10.30-12noon
  • Pins & needles group meet every Friday afternoon 1.30-3.00pm. Everything from sewing, crochet, knitting and cross stitch. Come along and share your ideas, patterns and learn new stitches

Items which are not in stock at Woodsend Library but are available from another Trafford library can be requested free of charge.
