The Cricket World Cup is coming to Trafford
The eyes of the sporting world will soon be focused on Trafford as the best international cricketers battle it out to win the most prestigious trophy in the men’s game.
Lancashire Cricket Club’s Old Trafford ground will be hosting six matches during the 2019 Cricket World Cup (CWC19) including one of the semi-finals - plus the much anticipated group stage clash between India and Pakistan.
Full houses are likely for all matches at Old Trafford so residents and businesses can expect the area to be extremely busy on match days as fans flood in from across the country and beyond.
Parking restrictions will be in place and public transport will be busier than usual during the tournament. See below the dates for the matches to be played at Old Trafford.
- Sunday 16 June. 10.30am start: India v Pakistan
- Tuesday 18 June. 10.30am start: England v Afghanistan
- Saturday 22 June. 1.30pm start : West Indies v New Zealand
- Thursday 27 June. 10.30am start: West Indies v India
- Saturday 6 July. 1.30pm start Australia v South Africa
- Tuesday 9 July. 10.30 start Semi-Final
