Trafford Council was very proud to host the wedding of Coronation Street alumni Jenny McAlpine (now Farr) who plays Fizz in the famous soap.
Jenny and her husband Chris Farr chose Trafford Town Hall as the venue for their wedding as Trafford holds special meaning to them. Along with their young son, Albert, the happy couple had a quiet ceremony followed by fish and chips and a honeymoon in Wales.
Jenny said: “We can't thank the team at Trafford Town Hall enough for pulling out all the stops and giving us such a special wedding day. What a beautiful venue Trafford Town Hall is. We've memories to treasure forever!"

Jenny and Chris asked the council to keep the wedding as quiet as possible and this was adhered to. However, since the wedding took place at the beginning of January, the national media has picked up on the story and Jenny recently appeared on ITV’s Loose Women to talk about the wedding and why she decided to have such a quiet do.
