Council to consult with residents over car park

Trafford Council is to consult with residents over the future of Warrener Street Car Park in Sale Moor.

In September 2017 the Council, working in consultation with the local community and the We Are Sale Moor group, identified a preferred option for a mixed use scheme on the car park and adjoining land.

Following discussions with other land owners, the Council now wants to revisit the proposals to focus on just the car park and consider options for the future of the site.

Local businesses and residents are invited to attend a public consultation drop in event on 6 December 2018 between 5-7.30pm at Sale High School, Norris Road.

The purpose of the event is to update the community on the current position and ask for further views on what they would like to see in Sale Moor on the Warrener Street Car Park site and how it could be developed in the future.

If you’re not able to attend the event you can either:

Cllr James Wright, Executive Member for Investment, Regeneration and Strategic Planning, Trafford Council, said:

The Council is keen to ensure that the views of the local community are heard and that any proposals taken forward for the Warrener Street Car Park site will have benefited from the input and engagement of local businesses and residents.

This will help us to achieve the best possible solution and maximise the potential of the site for the Sale Moor community.
