Patrick Properties signs the Trafford Pledge

Altrincham-based property investment and development company Patrick Properties has become the latest high-profile business to sign the Trafford Pledge.

The pledge has helped 2,800 people into employment and training since its launch in 2013. It provides opportunities for local people to be matched with local businesses who can offer jobs, apprenticeships, work experience and practical support.

Speaking at the recent Digital Schools Roadshow event, Cllr Andrew Western, Leader of Trafford Council, said:

I’m delighted to be signing the Trafford Pledge with Patrick Properties. They are working with us to offer apprenticeship and work experience opportunities for local people as well as a commitment to engaging with local schools to inspire young people to think about careers in their sector. The Council is determined to continue doing everything it can to help local people wanting to get into work and invest in our future generation to develop their careers. The fantastic response from businesses that have come forward over the last five years is great to see, and we look forward to developing a long-term partnership with Patrick Properties.”

Patrick Properties is a property investment and development company and a subsidiary of Latium Enterprises. Established in 2002, the company retains a portfolio covering commercial, residential, retail, leisure and land with over 1.5 million sq foot of ownership.

Signing the Pledge, Paul Martin, Managing Director of Patrick Properties, said:

We are delighted to sign the Trafford Pledge  and I am pleased that we have already made valuable contributions, by hosting the Digital Schools Roadshow at Bowdon Hotel and also by exhibiting at a local school careers event. As a local business and also as a Trafford resident, I am passionate about generating employment opportunities within the borough, in line with Trafford’s future growth plans. We are a fully committed partner of Trafford Council and partnerships such as the Trafford Pledge require trust, effort and collaboration, as well recognising the two-way nature of such a partnership. This is as much about what we can give back to residents of Trafford and the local community, as it is about the Council helping local businesses.”
Businesses who have already signed the Pledge include: Hotel Football, Laing O’Rourke, Wilmott Dixon Partnership, UA92, Bruntwood and Amey. They are all committed to offering opportunities to unemployed people through jobs, apprenticeships, work experience or practical support.
