The Cricket World Cup comes to Trafford again

Lancashire Cricket Club’s Old Trafford ground will be hosting its second match of the Cricket World Cup on Tuesday June 18 with thousands of fans due to attend the game.

England are taking on Afghanistan and the area around the ground and Trafford town hall is expected to be extremely busy as fans travel to the borough for the game.

Parking restrictions will be in place and public transport will be busier than usual during the day.

A spokesperson for Trafford Council said:

The India Pakistan match was a fantastic occasion and we are expecting another capacity crowd for the England game. We are reminding residents and businesses that the area will be busier than usual as we have fans coming to the match from all over the country and there will be parking restrictions in place around the ground."
