Two Young People also won the prestigious ‘Sale and District Lions Achiever of the Year Award’ and prize money with Trafford’s own Aftercare Forum taking the James Fanshawe prize for Youth Voice.

The Mayor of Trafford, Cllr Rob Chilton, attended the event along with the Mayoress, Mrs Zoe Marshall and author Lemn Sissay.

Cllr Catherine Hynes, Trafford Council’s Executive Member for Children’s Social Care, said:

The event is to celebrate the many successes of Trafford’s Looked After Children and Care Leavers and the great things that they are accomplishing.
