Trafford Handball Club switch to online delivery

A Trafford sports club has launched online training sessions for its junior and senior teams.

Trafford Handball Club, one of Trafford Council’s  Access Sport partner clubs, made the decision to make sure all their members remain connected and active.

Club Founder and Head Coach, Stan Belinski said:

It’s great that we can stay in touch with the players. The sessions are good fun and I’ve been pleased to see parents joining in the work outs, really creating a sense of community in these strange times.

The sessions, which have been a huge hit so far with over 150 people taking part, include a mix of fun homework sessions and interactive video analysis sessions.

Mike Power, Development Manager, for Access Sport, which is commissioned by Trafford Council to provide a community sport development programme, said:

We have supported the club to attract a wider and more diverse audience, upskilled five volunteer coaches and delivered our Coach Clever Leaders Award to 15 young people, as well as funding new equipment and kit. We continue to support the club as their delivery moves online and crucially, making sure they are prepared to reopen quickly when lockdown is lifted.”
