Trafford Council mapping out range of digital services across borough

Trafford Council is helping residents by mapping out the range of digital support services across the borough.

The authority has created a helpful interactive map for residents who need to access digital services and support.

The map details wi-fi hotspots, computer access and device lending schemes, along with contact information and website links to local organisations.

The map, which is situated on the Council’s Digital Trafford (www.trafford.gov.uk/residents/Digital-Trafford/Digital-Trafford.aspx) webpages, will also allow residents to see the digital support services available in their local areas.

As part of the service, the Council is encouraging organisations who aren’t listed but are delivering these essential digital support services to get in touch by emailing: digitaltrafford@trafford.gov.uk

Cllr Mike Freeman, Trafford Council’s Executive Member for Covid 19 Recovery and Reform, said:

“Trafford Council has embraced a digital future and we are encouraging as many residents as possible to go digital so they can continue to access our services online.

“Our Digital Trafford website offers a number of helpful tips and resources and our Digital Champions are on hand across the borough to offer residents help and support. The new digital map is a fabulous addition to our resources and will help residents access digital services and support on their doorsteps. Please make as much use of it as possible.”
