A charity dinner hosted by the Mayor of Trafford, Cllr Laurence Walsh, has benefited two local charities - youth work of Gorse Hill Studios and the Trafford Trussell Trust Food Banks.

The fundraising event was held at Aspire in Trafford College, which provides catering and hospitality students with practical experience in running a restaurant. The Leader of Trafford Council, Cllr Andrew Western, and MP Kate Green were also in attendance to support the vitally important charities. The event, which took place on Thursday 10 February, was a huge success and diners were entertained with music from the Sallow Tree Quartet.

Cllr Walsh said:

“This was a fantastic occasion to enjoy great food, entertainment and company, while helping to raise much-needed money for two incredible causes. I can’t think of a better place to hold a fundraising dinner than Aspire. It is a superb venture by Trafford College and it is great that we were able to support the students in their training."
