Inspirational businesswomen shared their stories of success at a special event organised by Trafford Council.
The event, which was held at Urmston Library, was specifically tailored to local women who run a business or who are looking to start one in Trafford.
Four Trafford entrepreneurs, who met up on International Women’s Day, told how they had embarked on their journey to set up a business, inspiring others and offering insight into the support to help them achieve their aims.
Nina, from Nina D Scandi homeware, said: “It was truly inspirational to be a part of the event, sharing my story and connecting with such amazing women.”
The day proved to be a huge success with over 25 women attending who are either business owners themselves or looking to start up. Inspiring stories were shared, business networks were developed and business advice offered all within a hugely positive, supportive and empowering environment.
Cllr Mike Freeman, Trafford Council’s Executive Member for Covid 19 Recovery and Reform, said:
“It is truly inspirational to see how local women are setting up successful businesses in this post-Covid period. These events are extremely important because they allow the sharing of their success stories and make everyone aware of the support there is out there from Trafford Council. Well done to everyone involved.”
Trafford Council hosts regular Business Start Up Network events in partnership with business support organisations such as People Plus, Momentic and the Growth Company. The network offers an opportunity to meet other start up business owners and self employed residents from Trafford, as well as an opportunity to speak to business advisors and hear from guest speakers.
