Children's competition for Queen's jubilee

School children are being asked to design a Jubilee card that will be sent to the Queen on behalf of Trafford.

To mark the Queen’s 70th year reign, Trafford Council has launched a competition to design a Jubilee card for Trafford to send to the Queen congratulating her on reaching this momentous occasion.

The competition is open to young people between the ages of 6-18 who live or go to school in Trafford. The entry must include something Trafford related – it could be a person, a landmark or a place and it needs to be no bigger than A4.

Cllr Liz Patel, Executive Member for Culture and Leisure, said:

“We have great people, great communities and great places in Trafford so this is a fantastic opportunity to showcase the best of our borough. The Queen’s service and dedication to our country has been remarkable and this competition is a great way to mark her jubilee.

Good luck to everyone taking part. I look forward to seeing the amazing cards our school children will be designing.”

Entries can be handed into any Trafford Library and must include your name, age and contact details on the back. You can also submit your entry via email to events@trafford.gov.uk

The competition closes on May 29.
