Trafford Council sign up to ICN Framework

Trafford Council has signed up to a framework designed to aid the speedy delivery of its development programme.

The aim of the ICN (Innovation Chain North) Framework is to help deliver high quality, sustainable homes that meet the current and future needs of residents across the borough.

The ICN Framework, administered by the Great Places Housing Group, aims to encourage innovation, collaborative working, opportunities for job creation and training while achieving efficiencies and value for money.

It supports the development of new housing by procuring works and services from building contractors and a number of professionals including employers agents, engineers, building surveyors, architects, clerk of works, purchasers agents, designers, planning consultants and site investigation services.
Trafford Council will be looking to the ICN Framework for support as it looks to develop a number of housing schemes across the borough.

Cllr Liz Patel, Trafford Council’s Executive Member for Economy and Regeneration, said:

“Like most boroughs, there is a shortage of housing across Trafford and we are totally committed to fulfil our promise to provide more. Anything to assist with this process is obviously good news so I am fully supportive of our decision to join the ICN Framework.”

Joanne Whitehead, Development Performance Manager at ICN, said:

“It’s great news that Trafford Council has chosen the ICN framework to assist with the delivery of new homes in the borough. This brings the total number of clients using the framework to 28, all of whom can benefit from learning from each other, sharing experiences and reacting to challenges.”
