Trafford Community and Voluntary Controlled Schools - Proposed 2021 Admission Arrangements

Any admission authority that wishes to amend its arrangements for admission in 2021 must carry out the required consultation.  Consultation must be for a minimum of 6 weeks and must take place between 1 October and 31 January of the school year before those arrangements are to apply. For arrangements which are to apply for entry in September 2021, consultation must be completed by 31 January 2020.  The final admission arrangements must be determined annually, whether they have been changed or not, by 28 February in the determination year.

The consultation process for Trafford’s community and voluntary controlled schools will commence on 7th October 2019 and will close on 18th November 2019.

The admissions criteria are proposed unchanged.  However, the LA proposes an increase to the Published Admission Number (PAN) of Gorse Hill Primary School from 50 to 60 and to Worthington Primary School from 45 to 60.

Consultees are invited to consider and comment on these proposals and on the relevant policies listed below

i) Trafford Primary/Infant/Junior Community and Voluntary Controlled Schools - 2021 admission arrangements

ii) 2021 Proposed Admission Numbers (PANs)

iii) Lostock High School - 2021 Admission Arrangements

iv) 2021 Co-ordinated Admissions Scheme (Primary)

v) 2021 Co-ordinated Admissions Scheme (Secondary)

Any comments or objections must be sent to: Marilyn Golding, School Admissions, Waterside House, Waterside, Sale, M33 7ZF

Or can be emailed to school.admissions@trafford.gov.uk. All correspondence must be received by 18 November 2019.

All comments and objections will be considered through Trafford’s democratic process and the final admission arrangements will be determined by 28 February 2020.
