Stamford Park amalgamation consultation
This is an informal survey is so that parents, carers, teaching staff, residents and other stakeholders have an opportunity to provide their views about Trafford Council’s proposal to amalgamate Stamford Park Infant and Junior Schools. If the proposal is progressed there will also be a statutory consultation in the future.
The proposal is to create a new primary school building on the existing school field site which would be a three-form entry primary school. This would give more school places for the growing population of primary age children in the area while also creating an excellent new learning environment. We believe this proposal is in the best interests of local children and the wider community.

Our survey ended at midnight on 15 July.
Stamford Park Junior School proposal to become an academy
The council held informal discussions with the governing bodies of both schools a few months ago. The governing body of the Junior School has since announced its intention to consult on becoming a member of a Multi-Academy Trust. The process around the proposal to convert the Junior School to an academy has now formally commenced. If Stamford Park Junior School does join the Multi-Academy Trust then the proposal to build a new primary school on the existing grounds cannot proceed. The Council believe the amalgamation proposal is in the best interests of local children and will put forward this view during the consultation on academisation.
