Coronavirus (COVID-19) parking update

The parking team are not issuing permits face to face or able to answer phone calls currently but are available for permit renewals/applications/queries by email:

Advisory Notices within permit areas will cease from Monday 6 July. Please ensure your permit is in place from this date, or a visitor card is used as a temporary measure to avoid a penalty charge notice.

If you have not already applied for a renewed permit please use visitor cards or park elsewhere until you have a valid permit to park within the scheme.

Resident permit enquiries (non match-day)

To renew your permit, download an application form here. Please email your two forms of proof required, per vehicle, for a permit. Once we approve this, you will be sent details of how to pay and your permit will be issued within 7 days. If applying for just visitor cards, proof of residency dated within the last 3 months is required. Put ‘visitor cards only’ in the subject line of your email and send to:

Sending incorrect documents will delay your application. Please check the documents being sent match the requirements on the application form.

We are now processing permit applications for the Zone B match-day permit scheme received by email and post only (the Town Hall remains closed for public access).

Penalty appeals

If you have previously made an enquiry relating to a penalty appeal, a response will be emailed to you in the next few days. Any new appeal enquiries will be placed on hold at the time of appealing and will be answered as quickly as possible. This does not affect your right to pay the discounted amount if you appealed within 14 days of the PCN being issued.

You can still contact us via email: for urgent matters only, placing the word URGENT in the subject line so we can pick this out and reply to you as quickly as possible.

We apologise for the disruption to the service and thank you for your patience.

Blue Badge holders

Due to the outbreak of Coronavirus, Blue Badge holders can use their recently expired badge (from 1 January 2020 onwards); this applies on-street and in Trafford Council owned car parks, but not private car parks. This should continue initially until 30 September 2020.

Free parking for NHS staff and social care workers

Trafford Council continues to operate free parking for NHS staff and social care workers. If you are in one of these categories you can now arrange a pass via your manager.
