How to make a representation

Anyone can make a representation as long as it's within the consultation period. A representation can only be made in line with the 4 licensing objectives.

It is an offence knowingly or recklessly to make a false statement in connection with an application. The maximum fine for which a person is liable on summary conviction for making a false statement is a Level 5 fine on the standard scale.

Your representation must include your full name, full address, contact telephone and contact email address. If those details are not provided your representation will not be considered

Next steps

The applicant will be notified of your representation, your contact information and Door Number/House name will not be disclosed to the applicant.

Following the end of consultation the Licensing Officer will arrange a Licensing Sub-Committee hearing in which you will be notified of and you will be authorised to attend.
