Small gathering

Examples of a small gathering include:

  • Music group / choir rehearsal
  • Organised group meeting (that would usually be indoors)
  • Diversity event – where the primary focus is for a particular ethnic or minority group
  • Faith event – where the primary focus is for a faith group
  • Family event – where the community centre in the park is being used
  • Pop up / fundraiser
  • Class reunion

Events in parks

 Types of events held in a park include:

  • Community events
  • Commercial events (Concert / Trade show/ Team building days / Away days)
  • Cross country running

Fee dependant on number of people attending the event

0 – 500 people: £220 

500 – 2000 people: £450 

2000+ people : £780 

 * A ticketed community event / community event with a commercial element will be charged £35 per day. Friends of parks groups will not be charged. A community event with inflatables / fairground rides will be charged the fairs daily hire fee. No bond will be taken but a land hire agreement should be signed.

Commercial events will be charged a parks land hire fee on top of the event permit fee.

There will be an additional fee if you need to move any street or park furniture such as bollards, or would like to hire any bins. Include any details of such requirements on your application, and we will let you know of the costs when we review your application.

Fairs

Non-operational days will be charged at 25% of a normal operating day.

Classes

  • Painting / other classes
  • Learn to ride classes are exempt 

New classes get 1-month free trial.
