There are many ways to get help and support for starting a business in Trafford.

Build a Business

The Build a Business project is designed for small businesses, entrepreneurs, and anyone thinking of starting their own company.

The project offers four key workshops across libraries in Greater Manchester (including Altrincham Library), focusing on intellectual property, understanding your customers, business basics, and marketing essentials. Find an event near you.

You can also access free, tailored support through a dedicated SME Enterprise Officer. For more information, email buildabusiness@manchester.gov.uk.

Enterprising You

The Enterprising You programme supports entrepreneurs across Greater Manchester to launch, grow, and scale their business. The programme includes free training and workshops, and one-to-one support, to help you move forward in your business.

King's Trust

The King's Trust offers free courses, enterprise initiatives, and mentoring opportunities for 16 to 30-year-olds across the UK. You can also receive in-person and online support, as well as one-to-one mentoring.
