Our shared procurement service, STAR, manages the majority of requests for quotations and invitations to tender.
This includes contracts for supplies, services, and works needed by the council and partner agencies.

STAR uses two free, public websites to advertise its contract opportunities:
- For opportunities worth more than £25,000, STAR advertises on the UK Government’s Contracts Finder website.
- For tenders above the OJEU threshold, STAR advertises on the EU’s Tenders Electronic Daily website.
These platforms also contain information about other public sector tenders in your area.

The Chest
All open tenders are posted on The Chest, the council's free e-procurement portal.
By registering your company, you can get alerts whenever STAR advertises a new opportunity. This will allow you to easily submit a quote or tender for any opportunity you're interested in.
