How to make a representation
Anyone can make a representation about an application during its consultation period.
Representations must relate to at least one of the four licensing objectives:
- prevention of crime and disorder
- public safety
- prevention of public nuisance
- protection of children from harm
What to include
Your representation must include:
- your full name
- your full postal address
- a contact telephone number
- a contact email address
If any of these details are missing, your representation will not be considered.
It is an offence to knowingly or recklessly make a false statement in connection with a licensing application.
If convicted, you could receive a Level 5 fine on the standard scale.
How to submit your representation
You can submit your representation online using the Licensing representation form.
You can also email your representation to licensing@trafford.gov.uk.
What happens next
The applicant will be told that a representation has been made, but your door number or house name will not be disclosed.
After the consultation period closes, the Licensing Officer will review the application.
If a hearing is needed, a Licensing Sub-Committee meeting will be arranged. You will be notified and invited to attend.
