If you hold a current Trafford private hire or hackney carriage driver licence, you can apply for an additional badge.
Step 1. Pay the fee
The fee for an additional badge is £23.60.
You can pay online, in the 'taxi sundries' section.
You will receive a payment receipt reference. Keep this safe, as you must enter it on your application form.
Step 2. Prepare your documents
Our documentation guidance for licensing provides extra information on what we will or will not accept when applying for a licence.
You will need:
- DVLA driving licence
- proof of address dated within the last month
Step 3. Apply
Apply for an additional driver badge
On the form you must enter your payment receipt reference.
Issue of badge
Your licence will now become a dual licence.
This means that you will only receive 1 set of badges that will cover the use of Private Hire and Hackney Carriage.
Once your application has been reviewed the Licensing Team will contact you with a date and time for collection.
