If you have a current Trafford private hire or hackney carriage driver licence you can apply to update your name.

You must provide:
- amended passport or right to work document
- DVLA driving licence showing your new name
- deed poll certificate or marriage certificate (if you are changing your name due to marriage)
Cost
The fee to change your name is £23.60.
Payment
How to pay:
- Select "Licensing" from the “all categories” drop-down menu
- Click apply
- Select "Taxi Sundries"
- Make your payment
- Pay for a taxi licence name change
You will be given a payment receipt reference. You must enter this reference on your application form.

Issuing of licence
Once your amended licence has been printed we will contact you with a collection date and time. You will need to return your old badges when collecting your new ones.
