If you have lost your licence or need a replacement, you can apply online.
Documents required
Our documentation guidance for licensing provides extra information on what we will or will not accept when applying for a licence.
You must provide:
- crime reference number (if you have lost a plate or badge)
- proof of ID, such as a passport or driving licence
- proof of address dated within the last month
Cost
The fees are:
- plate or badge: £26
- paper licence: £15
- window stickers: £4
Payment
How to pay:
- Select "Licensing" from the “all categories” drop-down menu
- Click apply
- Select the correct licence type (Private Hire Driver, Hackney Carriage Driver, Private Hire Vehicle or Hackney Carriage Vehicle)
- Make your payment
Pay for a replacement taxi licence
You will be given a payment receipt reference starting with ESTO. You must enter this reference on your application form.
