If you hold a Trafford hackney carriage or private hire driver licence, you may be asked to provide an updated medical certificate.
All drivers must meet the Group 2 medical standards (the same as for bus and lorry drivers). You may be required to submit a medical:
- when renewing your driver licence
- annually once you reach 65
- if you have a medical condition that must be reviewed
- if the Licensing Service requests an updated medical for any reason
- when your previous medical has expired
You must upload a full 18-page medical report in PDF format.
If you have a medical condition that must be reviewed. We may request additional documents, for example reports, Consultant letters.

The fee for a replacement badge is £26.

How to pay:
- Select "Licensing" from the “all categories” drop-down menu
- Click apply
- Select "Taxi Sundries"
- Use your badge number as the payment reference
- Make your payment
