Family Help in Trafford is based on services working together to support children, young people and families. This is called multi-agency working.
What it means
Different services share information and work as a team around your family. This can include:
- Schools and colleges
- Health services
- Housing
- Youth and community services
- Probation and police
- Voluntary and community organisations
By working together, services can make sure families get the right help at the right time.
Family Help Assessment
The Family Help Assessment, called Your Family’s Strengths and Needs, brings people together to look at what is going well, what needs to change, and what support could help. A lead professional coordinates the plan and keeps families informed.

Partnership working
Trafford Council works with many organisations to safeguard children and young people. More information and resources are available on the Trafford Strategic Safeguarding Partnership website.
