You are paid to cover the day to day costs of care. Carers receive a weekly allowance plus a skills payment. The amount depends on the child’s age, your level and the type of fostering. We can talk you through what this could look like for you.

  • Food, clothing and day to day costs
  • Transport for school, family time and activities
  • A contribution to household bills and hobbies

  • Rates are reviewed each April
  • We usually pay fortnightly
  • Your total depends on the child’s age, your level and the type of fostering
