School complaints

Complaints about schools must be dealt with through the school’s own complaints procedure. Trafford Council has no statutory responsibility to consider these complaints.

Maintained schools

If you are unhappy with the response from the school, you can contact the Secretary of State for Education.

Academies

If you are complaining about an academy, you must first go through the academy’s own complaints procedure. If you are still unhappy, you can complain to the Education and Skills Funding Agency (ESFA).
