Needle and syringe removal

If you find needles, syringes, or any type of drug-related waste in a public place, report it to us immediately so we can arrange for their safe removal.

For your own safety, do not attempt to remove them or dispose of them in any bin.

How to report

You can make a report online between Monday to Friday, 8am to 4pm. We aim to remove drug-related waste within 24 hours of the report.

Report a needle or syringe

Outside of these hours, including on the weekend, contact the Emergency Duty Team on 0161 912 1111 or 0161 912 2020

When you report drug-related waste, you will need to tell us:

  • Where the items are and their exact location
