Trafford Carers Centre is recruiting a Creative Health Connector to pilot an exciting new role supporting the brain health and wellbeing of older unpaid carers across Trafford.
Funded by Greater Manchester Combined Authority as part of the Greater Manchester Creative Health Place Partnership, this role will connect carers, creative and cultural organisations, social prescribing roles and health partners to improve access to meaningful, inclusive creative activities.
You will be joining a team of people with a strong commitment and passion to support carers. All staff receive 25 days of annual leave, plus bank holidays and Christmas Efficiency days.
About the role
As Creative Health Connector, you will:
- Build strong relationships with carers, community groups, cultural organisations and health partners
- Map and promote creative and cultural activities that support brain health
- Work with carers to co-design inclusive creative health opportunities
- Support cultural providers to better understand and remove barriers for unpaid carers
- Advocate for the role of creative health within Trafford’s health and care system
- Gather insight and contribute to evaluation and learning across Trafford and Greater Manchester
Essential experience
- Community engagement and working with diverse groups
- Strong awareness of unpaid carers and the challenges they face
- Passionate about creative, cultural or community-based health and wellbeing
- Excellent communicator and relationship-builder
- Cares deeply about equality, inclusion and amplifying lived experience
- Knows Trafford well, or is excited to build strong local knowledge quickly
