Key Purpose: To provide reliable, hands-on support to the Site Manager and site team, ensuring works are completed safely, efficiently, and to the highest standards of quality and professionalism.
Key responsibilities
- Work effectively as part of the on-site team, demonstrating flexibility and a positive attitude to meet changing site demands.
- Represent Tyson Construction professionally at all times.
- Deliver consistent, high-quality work in line with company standards and site requirements.
- Follow all company Health & Safety policies, procedures, and site rules at all times.
- Carry out instructions from the Site Manager promptly and accurately.
- Maintain a proactive, “can-do” approach to all tasks.
- Keep the site clean, organised, and safe.
- Assist with site deliveries, storage of materials, and management of plant and tools.
- Control and monitor site access where required.
- Act as a welcoming and professional presence for clients, visitors, and other trades.
- Complete work to the correct standard and ensure areas are left ready for handover or for other trades to continue.
Main duties
- Adhere strictly to site Health & Safety procedures.
- Support the Site Manager with day-to-day site operations.
- Maintain high standards of housekeeping across the site.
- Assist with manual handling, loading/unloading, and movement of materials.
- Ensure tools, equipment, and materials are stored safely and correctly.
- Cooperate and communicate effectively with other trades and team members.
- Take responsibility for the quality of your own work.
Skills & knowledge
- Previous construction or site experience.
- Health & Safety qualification.
- Valid CSCS Card.
- Clean driving licence.
- Understanding of company policies and site procedures.
- Good communication skills.
- Strong problem-solving ability and practical decision-making.
- Knowledge of materials and correct usage.
- Ability to take personal responsibility for tasks and outcomes.
