Key Purpose: To provide reliable, hands-on support to the Site Manager and site team, ensuring works are completed safely, efficiently, and to the highest standards of quality and professionalism.

Key responsibilities

  • Work effectively as part of the on-site team, demonstrating flexibility and a positive attitude to meet changing site demands.
  • Represent Tyson Construction professionally at all times.
  • Deliver consistent, high-quality work in line with company standards and site requirements.
  • Follow all company Health & Safety policies, procedures, and site rules at all times.
  • Carry out instructions from the Site Manager promptly and accurately.
  • Maintain a proactive, “can-do” approach to all tasks.
  • Keep the site clean, organised, and safe.
  • Assist with site deliveries, storage of materials, and management of plant and tools.
  • Control and monitor site access where required.
  • Act as a welcoming and professional presence for clients, visitors, and other trades.
  • Complete work to the correct standard and ensure areas are left ready for handover or for other trades to continue.

Main duties

  • Adhere strictly to site Health & Safety procedures.
  • Support the Site Manager with day-to-day site operations.
  • Maintain high standards of housekeeping across the site.
  • Assist with manual handling, loading/unloading, and movement of materials.
  • Ensure tools, equipment, and materials are stored safely and correctly.
  • Cooperate and communicate effectively with other trades and team members.
  • Take responsibility for the quality of your own work.

Skills & knowledge

  • Previous construction or site experience.
  • Health & Safety qualification.
  • Valid CSCS Card.
  • Clean driving licence.
  • Understanding of company policies and site procedures.
  • Good communication skills.
  • Strong problem-solving ability and practical decision-making.
  • Knowledge of materials and correct usage.
  • Ability to take personal responsibility for tasks and outcomes.
