Grounds Maintenance Operative

CleanStart are looking for a motivated Grounds Maintenance Operative to join their busy team delivering grounds maintenance around their customers’ homes and other L&Q-owned real estate. 

This includes mowing, strimming and collecting leaves. You will ensure that positive relationships are maintained with customers. You will also assist Housing Officers to resolve any neighbourhood issues.

There is a necessity to comply with risk assessments and be fully aware of Health & Safety risks within your role; don’t worry, full training is provided.

Skills and experience

• You’ll have experience and knowledge of Grounds Maintenance machinery, be organised and have a can-do attitude. 
• You will also have experience of providing excellent customer service and have some understanding of relevant health and safety regulations. 
• Experience of using mobile devices, such as a tablet, is beneficial. 
• There are times you may be working at heights and assisting with movement of heavy goods, but full training will be given. 
• Knowledge of COSHH law is beneficial but not necessary as full training will be provided.

Contract 

Fixed Term (12 months from start date) following successful completion of a 2-week volunteering placement. Lunch provided during volunteering.
