Get support with employment and training while you're redundant.

National Careers Service (NCS)

The National Careers Service (NCS) can support you with your next steps after redundancy. They offer online and telephone support with:

  • Education and training
  • Life skills, including identifying skills for interviews
  • Careers and interviews

To speak to an advisor, call 0800 100 900 between 8am to 8pm (Monday to Friday) and 10am to 5pm (Saturday and bank holidays).

The Growth Company 

The Growth Company offers free employment legal advice and support to Greater Manchester workers currently dealing with employment issues. This service is completely free, with legal experts giving something back and donating their time on a Pro Bono basis.

After you enquire, your case is passed on to a dedicated triage advisor who will review it and decide on the correct pathway for you, including whether to refer you to an expert from the network of legal partners.

Operation Re-Org

Operation Re:Org is an employment programme that helps anyone who has ever served in the Armed Forces and lives in Trafford. They help with securing employment, accessing training and services, and assisting with needs like housing, finance, or health and wellbeing.
