A brand new pop up bar has opened in Altrincham’s Stamford Quarter as part of the huge regeneration of the area.
Boozy Cocktail Bar opened in the revamped Stamford Square on Thursday 22 August. Brought to Altrincham by cocktail brand Boozy, the new bar offers a selection of freshly made cocktails, as well as a range of local beers, lagers and IPAs.
Served from a mobile bar decked out with neon lights, instagrammable flowers and greenery, the signature cocktail menu will include classics like Espresso Martinis, Long Island Iced Teas, and Margaritas.
Weekly specials will also be available, with a Dragon Fruit Mojito and Candyfloss Cosmopolitan both launching on the opening day. Guests have the choice to enjoy their drinks in the Stamford Quarter, with additional seating provided by Boozy in the newly transformed Stamford Square. There is also the option to take the cocktails away in cans to enjoy at home
Boozy Cocktail Bar is the latest brand to join the lineup of cafes, restaurants and entertainment venues in the Stamford Quarter. Both Starbucks and Lane7 recently opened in Stamford Quarter’s Foundation building, with Nell’s and Yum Cha set to open in autumn 2024.
The Boozy Cocktail Bar is also set to curate a variety of fun events, with further announcements coming soon.
Commenting on the announcement, James Tootle, Head of Retail and Leisure at Bruntwood, said:

Its arrival comes at a great time - the transformed public square is now open and is the perfect location for a new drinking destination on this side of the town centre. We are looking forward to visitors from the local community and beyond enjoying the new bar.”
Councillor Liz Patel, Executive Member for Economy and Regeneration at Trafford Council, said:
“This new bar is the latest addition of businesses who are choosing Altrincham’s Stamford Quarter as their home. It’s testament to the transformation of the area that it is now attracting independent businesses and large companies alike. I’m excited to welcome Boozy to the area, and I know they will offer something a little different for residents and visitors to the area.”
David Baddeley, founder of Boozy, added:
“Everyone at Boozy is so excited to launch our pop up cocktail bar in Altrincham’s Stamford Quarter. We love the area - it’s a thriving community of independent and national retailers, restaurants, and cafes and we know our offering will fit in really well. We can’t wait for the people of Altrincham and beyond to experience The Boozy Cocktail Bar’s incredible range of handcrafted cocktails, lagers, and IPAs. See you soon!”
