A new operating agreement between Trafford Council and its current leisure partner Trafford Leisure CIC has been approved by the Executive.
A new operating agreement between Trafford Council and its current leisure partner Trafford Leisure CIC has been approved by the Executive.
The new agreement will support several of the Council’s main strategic priorities including providing culture, sport and heritage for everyone, giving the best start for children and young people, helping support residents in achieving healthy and independent lives and addressing the climate crisis.
It will underpin the delivery of Trafford Moving, the borough’s sport, physical activity strategy, with the shared vision of enabling Trafford residents to move more, every day.
The Council and Trafford Leisure have a strong partnership and have worked together on a number of high-profile projects for many years. A multi-million pound leisure programme has seen the refurbishment rebrand of move Urmston with the refurbishments of move Altrincham and move Partington and wider outdoor activity hub progressing well.
Cllr Cath Hynes, Executive Member for Leisure, Arts, Culture and Heritage, said:
