People who live or work in Trafford, or visit the borough, have another chance to help shape to the future of heritage in the area.
All are invited to St Antony’s Heritage Centre in Trafford Park on Thursday 25 September.
There will be a guided tour of the centre at 3.45pm followed by activities to develop ideas and themes for heritage in the borough over the next 10 years, from 4.30pm to 7pm.
Cllr Eve Parker, Trafford Council’s Executive Member for Leisure, Arts, Culture and Heritage, said:
“In Trafford we are very proud of our history and identity, and one of our Council priorities is to make sure everyone in the borough can enjoy culture and heritage.
"We want as many people as possible to get involved in this exciting project that will influence the way the Council and partners capture, celebrate and champion the Trafford story.
“Part of this is looking at our past and thinking about what is important and worth preserving and emphasising for the future.”
A permanent exhibition at St Antony’s Heritage Centre traces the industrial and manufacturing history of the area which includes major companies such as Ford, Metropolitan Vickers and Proctor and Gamble.
Places at the event are free. The guided tour is optional – people can book on to the guided tour for 3.45pm or come just for the activities from 4.30pm.
Alternatively, residents and visitors can share their memories, ideas and opinions in an online survey open until the end of September.
