Trafford Council statement on Manchester synagogue attack

The terrible attack at a Manchester synagogue on Yom Kippur, the holiest day in the Jewish calendar, has shocked and saddened us all.

Our thoughts are with those affected, their families, and everyone who is impacted by this tragic event, including our Jewish community in Trafford.

In difficult times like these, it's important that we come together and support each other.

The Council is contacting local synagogues and other faith and community groups to offer reassurance to anyone who may be feeling vulnerable.

In terms of community safety advice, please follow updates from our colleagues at Greater Manchester Police.

We stand together as a borough at this awful time.
