The Partington Advice Hub opened on Monday 21 September, bringing a network of essential services together to help people with issues such as housing, energy costs, employment, debt, and family support. It can also link people to healthcare providers, social care, wellbeing activities and ongoing financial advice, all from one place.
It is part of the Trafford Live Well programme, which enables Trafford Council and partners to develop connected support and opportunities, shaped by the communities they serve.
The new hub is a completely free service with no appointment required, delivered from the Partington Library and Wellbeing Centre every Monday between 10am and 1pm.
Several specialist organisations will be there with weekly, fortnightly or monthly residencies, including Best Start Family Hubs, Housing Options Service Trafford, Your Housing Group, Energyworks from Groundwork, Citizens Advice, Community Care Navigators, BlueSci Support and The Growth Company.
Partington residents are encouraged to drop in regularly, with children always welcome and free tea and coffee available.
Cllr Rose Thompson, Trafford Council's Executive Member for Housing, Partnerships and Live Well, said:
“This is all about making it easy for people to get the support they need in one familiar and accessible place.
“Meeting residents where they are with practical advice helps them navigate the services available to them in a useful way, and it can prevent any issues from escalating. The new Partington Advice Hub is an important addition to our Live Well programme in the neighbourhood, and I’m really pleased to see its doors open for the first time.”
Cllr Tom Ross, Leader of Trafford Council, said:
“Bringing advice and support closer to home is exactly what we are looking to achieve for residents in Partington. The opening of the Advice Hub is great news. It demonstrates our ongoing commitment to simple, valuable and community-led services that make a real difference for people to live healthy and independent lives.”
