Trafford Council has teamed up with event organisers, activity leaders and cultural partners across the borough to bring events and activities together in one place online. Trafford Is – www.trafford.is – launches in Spring 2026.

Flying the flag for culture, creativity and connection, Trafford Is aims to become the heart of everything happening across the borough, making it easier than ever for residents and visitors to discover what’s on in Trafford.

The website will showcase a diverse mix of experiences, bringing together internationally recognised brands such as the Imperial War Museum North and Lancashire Cricket Club, alongside artist-led and grassroots organisations from across Trafford.

Developed by Trafford Council in partnership with local organisations and powered by the Manchester-based listings engine CultureHosts, Trafford Is will enable users to easily find events and activities that match their interests, plan their visit and explore what’s nearby.

Local businesses, venues and organisations can sign up for free, giving them the opportunity to promote their events and attractions to audiences locally, regionally and nationally.

The platform’s branding has been designed by Studio DBD, the independent design studio of Dave Sedgwick, a Trafford-based creative.

Cllr Eve Parker, Executive Member for Leisure, Arts, Culture & Heritage at Trafford Council, said:

“The launch of Trafford Is will showcase the scale and ambition of Trafford’s cultural economy, bringing world-class events and experiences to residents and visitors throughout the year.

"By bringing everything together in one place, the platform will help more people discover the full breadth of what Trafford has to offer, from vibrant town centres and green spaces to outstanding attractions, because there is simply too much to see and do in just one visit.”

The launch of Trafford Is supports the Trafford Cultural Strategy and the Council’s corporate priority to promote culture, sport and heritage for everyone. The platform aims to enhance the borough’s cultural and sporting offer, support local talent and remove barriers to participation.
