Flixton House, operated by Trafford Council, is giving couples the chance to explore the venue and meet local suppliers. The historic venue, on Flixton Road, features elegant period details like high ceilings and fireplaces blended with modern refurbishments, offering spaces for ceremonies, receptions, and meetings, plus lovely gardens for outdoor events.

The wedding open day takes place on Sunday 22 March, giving couples the chance to meet local suppliers and explore the stunning venue.

Cllr Rose Thompson, Executive Member for Communities, said:

“Special days need a special venue and Flixton House is everything you would want it to be. It’s one of Trafford’s jewels in the crown and it’s great to have a fantastic Georgian building in the heart of our borough."

Flixton House, which also serves corporate events and private parties, closed a successful 2025 with a programme of festive community events. This includes its annual wreath making workshops and a special community lunch, delivered in partnership with local businesses Payal Catering and Eclipse Furniture Hire. The lunch provided a complimentary three course meal and live entertainment for elderly residents.

Organisers are looking forward to offering more community focused events, ensuring Flixton House is a welcoming space for residents throughout the year.

Cllr Thompson said:

“Flixton House is for everyone. It is a great place for meetings and for special occasions. It has everything you would want and is set within the lovely space that is Flixton Park. But it’s also great that we make sure it is for all of our communities and that we can give something more.”
