The One Trafford Partnership, the collaboration between Trafford Council and Amey, has retained 12 Green Flag Awards across Trafford's parks and green spaces.
This is the second consecutive year that Trafford has held 12 Green Flag Awards, following the addition of Stamford Park in 2025, increasing the borough's total from 11 awards that had been maintained for seven years.
The Green Flag Award is the international quality mark for parks and green spaces, recognising sites that are welcoming, well managed and maintained to high environmental standards, while offering safe, accessible and inclusive spaces for local communities and visitors to enjoy.
A spokesperson for One Trafford said:
“This award is a testament to the dedication and collaboration of everyone involved in caring for our parks and green spaces.
"We would like to thank the many volunteers whose commitment help make these spaces so welcoming for local communities.
“We are also grateful to our operational teams whose hard work throughout the year ensures our parks are maintained to the standards we expect, and to our experienced Green Space Officers whose extensive knowledge, guidance and long-term stewardship play a vital role in the successful management of these sites.”
