Applying for a Blue Badge

To check your eligibility and apply, visit: Apply for or renew a Blue Badge (GOV.UK)

Before you apply, make sure you have: 

• Your National Insurance number
• Proof of address
• Proof of identification
• Recent passport-style digital photo
• Proof of any benefits

While having these documents can speed up the application process, it is not essential to attach these documents. You can provide them later in the process.

If you don't qualify automatically, you will need to be able to answer questions about how your condition affects your mobility, including how far you can walk, what medications you take, and details of any medical professionals involved in your care.

Make sure you have this information to hand when your application is being made.
