Season parking permits terms and conditions

These Terms and Conditions govern the use of a Season Parking Permit issued for designated Pay and Display Car Parks managed by Trafford Council. By purchasing or using the Permit, the Permit Holder (you) agrees to be bound by these terms.

1. Permit use and validity

1.1 The Permit grants the holder the right to park in designated pay and display spaces within the car park selected during the application process during the validity period.

1.2 The Permit is valid only for the period stated at the time of purchase and is non-transferable.

1.3 The Permit is valid only for the vehicle specified at the time of purchase on your online account.

1.4 The Permit does not guarantee a parking space at any given time.

2. Eligibility and application

2.1 Applications must be submitted online using the PermitSmarti system on Trafford Council’s online portal and with up-to-date information.

2.2 Trafford Council reserves the right to reject or revoke any application or permit if false information is provided or if these terms are breached.

3. Fees and payment

3.1 All fees are payable in advance. Non-payment will result in the cancellation of the Permit.

3.2 Fees are non-refundable, except in cases of administrative error.

4. Conditions of use

4.1 The vehicle must be parked wholly within a marked parking space.

4.2 Vehicles must comply with all displayed signage and regulations within the car park.

4.3 The Permit does not allow parking in permit bays, suspended bays, loading bays, disabled bays (except when also displaying a valid blue badge) or electric charging bays (except when charging).

5. Termination and revocation

5.1 Trafford Council reserves the right to revoke a Permit at any time for:

• Breach of any terms herein;
• Abusive or unsafe behaviour within the car park;
• Fraudulent use of the Permit.

5.2 No refund will be given for revocation due to breach of terms.

5.3 Permit holders may terminate their permit early but will not be entitled to a refund unless otherwise agreed.

6. Liability

6.1 Trafford Council accepts no liability for any loss, theft, or damage to vehicles or their contents while parked in the car park.

7. Changes to terms

7.1 Trafford Council reserves the right to change these Terms and Conditions at any time.

7.2 Continued use of the Permit following such changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
