Box junction enforcement consultation

We’re undertaking a six-week public consultation on proposals to expand the use of our existing moving traffic enforcement powers to other box junction locations. 

The consultation seeks views on introducing enforcement at a number of additional yellow box junction locations around Trafford Park and White City Circle. 

If progressed, enforcement would operate 24/7 and may be phased during 2026, subject to:

• consultation feedback
• installation works
• system testing

Following the consultation, responses will be reviewed before final decisions are taken on which locations will be implemented. 

Subject to consultation outcomes, initial enforcement could begin from summer 2026, with locations introduced in phases.
