- conservation areas
- non-designated heritage assets
You can request advice about heritage sites when you apply for pre-application advice for householders.
Free advice
Heritage advice regarding works to a listed building that require Listed Building Consent and/or planning permission will be given free of charge.

We will also not charge for queries related to:
- householder Listed Building Consent matters
- charities
- community groups
Advice will not be free if the development:
- requires planning permission within the curtilage of a listed building
- is a proposed change of use of a listed building
Advice with fees
We offer a 30 minute phone call for heritage advice that would not include planning matters. The cost is £155 (inc VAT).
We offer a one hour site visit for heritage advice for non-major development that would not include planning matters. The cost is £265 (inc VAT).
