Adaptation of a house to meet the needs of any member of the household with a disability will be exempt from a pre-application advice fee.

To support this we may require a supporting justification from an appropriate medical professional, such as a doctor or occupational health practitioner to confirm that the adaptation is required for the person's greater safety, health or comfort.

Works requiring Listed Building Consent or planning permission for physical works to a listed building and/or an associated curtilage structure will also be fee exempt.

New development within the curtilage of a listed building, or a proposed change of use of a listed building, will not be exempt.
