About the Masterplan
PfE Policy JPA 3.2 requires development of the site to be delivered in accordance with a Masterplan developed in consultation with the local community and other stakeholders and approved by Trafford Council.
Preparation of the Masterplan has begun, and is being led by the principal landowner, Royal London, in collaboration with other landowners, key stakeholders and Trafford Council. Once approved by the Council, the Masterplan will set out how the allocation will come forward in line with PfE policy requirements.
Council officers have provided comments and offered guidance throughout the preparation of the emerging Masterplan proposals to date. This input will continue until a version of the Masterplan is ready to be submitted to the Council.
Once the Masterplan and supporting evidence has been submitted, the Council will begin the process of converting the information into a formal planning document. This process will include a period of formal public consultation.
Once formally adopted by the Council, planning applications will be assessed against this new planning document alongside the overarching planning policy contained in the Places for Everyone plan and other relevant planning policies and guidance.
