We consulted on the proposed 2026 admission arrangements for community and voluntary controlled schools from 18 November 2024 to 6 January 2025.
The consultation was shared with Trafford headteachers, governors, the Diocese, other local authorities, parents, and interested local groups. It was publicised via local press, early years and schools e-bulletins, and our website.
The following arrangements were determined by Trafford’s Executive Member for Children and Families on 25 February 2025.
Arrangements
- Community and voluntary-controlled primary schools - 2026 admission arrangements
- Lostock High School - 2026 admission arrangements
- 2026 admission numbers (PANs)
- 2026 primary co-ordinated admissions scheme
- 2026 secondary co-ordinated admissions scheme
2026 amendments
The admission arrangements for Trafford’s community and voluntary-controlled schools were proposed unchanged. We did, however, propose to decrease the published admission number (PAN) at some schools.
All admission authorities must formally agree their admission arrangements by 28 February in the determination year, even if they have not changed from previous years and a consultation has not been required.
Object to an arrangement
You can object to the school's adjudicator if you think a school’s admission arrangements do not comply with the School Admissions Code.
The deadline for objections each year is 15 May.
On-time objections will be considered by the adjudicator. Admission arrangements can be referred to the adjudicator after this deadline, however, the adjudicator has the discretion on whether or not to consider the case.
