Apply for a street party

Applications for a street party must arrive no later than 8 weeks before you require an in-principle decision from us. 

Before applying, please read our essential information about street parties.

You should also consult your neighbours at least 8 weeks before you intend to submit your application, in case some residents are away on holiday. You can find a sample consultation letter on our Guidance page.

You will need to submit the following with your application:

• Street party risk assessment

• Site plan to show the area of road you would like to close
• Street party road closure form of indemnity
